I'll admit I was quite this year when it came to game purchasing I think I bought maybe to 2 or 3. May be due to nothing worth while dropped this year. And with the recession jumping off dropping 60 cash on video games wasn't a wise choice. But yea Assassins Creed 2 was name Game of the Year(sorry to spoil it folks) so I might have to copp that even though the first one was name Game of the Year and it was shitty :-/ I provided a video for all consoles. Didn't want to be bias even though XBOX is obviously the better system.
XBOX 360
Some might call 2009 a down year in gaming. A global recession sent business leaders in all industries scrambling, and many highly anticipated games were delayed. Even so, there was no shortage of Xbox 360 games worth playing. We've sorted through them all and in our yearly awards you'll find the best of the best. Enjoy.
PS3
This was an amazing year for the PlayStation 3. Killzone 2 came out early in the year and showed everyone that the console was capable of some seriously impressive visuals, and the stream of high quality releases hasn't let up since. Tons of exclusive Sony-published games and a price drop gave the system the kick-start in sales that it needed. Third party publishers also turned out some of their best titles yet for this generation in 2009. But which were the best of best? Read on to find out.
Wii
We're quite happy with the Wii games of 2009, but when compared to competing consoles Nintendo's system definitely lacked in games of epic scale. Still, there were some serious standouts and we're here now to honor the games that made the Wii more than just "that system that plays Wii Sports."
NINTENDO DS
The Nintendo DS is this generation's most successful videogame system, and the library quality continues to reflect why so many people jump on Nintendo's handheld. 2009 wasn't lacking in variety or in quality of games, and here are some of the most significant titles the year had to offer.
PSP
The PSP had one hell of a year in 2009. Major franchises made their debut on the system, with the likes of Rock Band, Assassin's Creed, LittleBigPlanet and Resistance giving PlayStation Portable owners something fresh to play on the road. Returning series like Final Fantasy, Patapon and LocoRoco upped the ante even more, rounding out a great 2009 release calendar. So what games were the greatest of the great? Find out right here with our Best of 2009 awards.
